drive correctly

Driving has a decisive influence on the service life of tubeless tires. When the vehicle starts and brakes, the operation of the accelerator pedal, clutch and brake should be well coordinated, try to start smoothly, stop slowly, and avoid sharp turns, emergency braking, and sudden starts. And blind high-speed driving (high speed over obstacles). Emergency braking during driving will increase the slippage between the tire and the road surface, resulting in local wear: excessive starting will cause excessive local wear of the tire tread; the tire hitting an obstacle will deform the rim and affect the seal.

Under normal working conditions, the temperature of tubeless tires is lower than that of ordinary tires, but if the technical condition of the braking system is not good or the driver operates improperly, such as: braking drag, frequent use of emergency braking, etc. The temperature rises rapidly, and the air pressure rises with it, which makes the tire work under high temperature and high pressure conditions, which affects the service life of the tire.

When it is found that the tire temperature is too high, the driving speed should be reduced, and if necessary, the vehicle should be parked in a cool place for natural cooling. It is strictly forbidden to use the methods of deflation and pressure reduction and splashing water to cool down. Deflation and pressure reduction make the tire run under the specified air pressure, and the deformation will increase, which will make the tire temperature continue to rise. Splashing water to cool down the tire suddenly cools the tire, and the shrinkage of each part is uneven, which is prone to deformation and cracks.

(2) Strengthen inspection

Before the vehicle is driven, check whether the tire shape, moving parts and steering wheel swing are normal one by one, check whether there are bulges, cracks, cuts, nails, etc., and check whether the rims are cracked, deformed and obviously corroded. According to the inspection results, take corresponding measures.

Check tire wear in time, analyze the cause of damage, and take corresponding remedial measures. When the tread wears down to the safety mark, stop using it. Drive at a reduced speed on bad roads. After the vehicle passes through obstacles or sharp rocks, the debris in the pattern and between the two tires should be cleaned up in time, and the tires should be checked for mechanical damage.

(3) Correct disassembly

If the tubeless tire needs to be repaired, a special tire disassembly machine must be used during disassembly and assembly. Manual assembly and disassembly can easily cause uneven rim edges or degumming of the bead, resulting in air leakage. Marks should be made before removing the tire so that the original rolling direction and dynamic balance can be maintained during assembly. Use special tools when installing tires, and do not hit tires and rims with a heavy hammer. Tubeless tires have stricter requirements on rims. The rims should have no collision or rust, and must undergo an air-tightness test without "trachoma".

Every time a tubeless tire is installed, a new O-ring must be replaced. Soak the O-ring in vegetable oil for a while before installation. During inflation, the O-ring should be checked for air leakage.

(4) Periodic transposition

After the vehicle runs for a certain mileage, the tires of different parts have different degrees of fatigue and wear. In order to make the tires wear evenly and prolong the service life, the tires must be rotated. Usually 20,000 to 30,000 km once. There are cross-transposition and cyclic transposition methods for tire rotation.

On the same vehicle, the same type, tread pattern, size, and brand should be used. Avoid the combined assembly of different brands of tires, new and worn tires, new and retreaded tires.

(5) keep in good condition

A good technical state is a necessary condition to ensure the safe and efficient driving of the vehicle, and it is also a prerequisite for reducing abnormal tire wear. Periodically check the front wheel alignment and tire balance, as well as wheel bearings, seals, brakes, frame, etc., to ensure that the vehicle does not sway from side to side when driving in a straight line, and there is no deviation or drag when braking. Because the misalignment of the front wheel, the deformation of the rim, the brake drag, and the deviation of the brake will accelerate the wear of the tire.

(6) The air pressure reaches the standard

If the tire pressure is too high, the contact area between the tire and the ground is reduced, the flexibility and cushioning performance of the tire are weakened, the ground adhesion is reduced, the tire slipping tendency is increased, the wear of the middle tread is aggravated, and the driving safety and handling stability will also be reduced. .

The tire pressure is too low, the tire contact area is large, the tread bends and collapses inward, the sidewall flexes and deforms, causing stress between the structural layers, the deformation of the tire intensifies, the internal temperature rises rapidly, and in severe cases, the tread will be It is separated from the wire layer, causing peeling and carcass damage; the movement of the tire mouth increases, causing friction with the rim, causing damage to the bead and delamination of the edge of the buffer layer, and in severe cases, the tire will be quickly scrapped.

Tubeless tires have stricter air pressure requirements than ordinary tires. The tire air pressure cannot be judged by senses, and an air pressure gauge must be used to measure and maintain the specified pressure. When measuring the air pressure, it should be done after the tire has dropped to normal temperature.

It should be pointed out that tubeless tires are not absolutely sealed after inflation. Even if the tires and valve cores are in good condition, they will slowly leak air by themselves. Therefore, it is necessary to check and make up.

(7) Inner tube is prohibited

Some drivers think that adding a tube to a tubeless tire can prevent the tire from leaking and prolong the service life of the tire. In fact, this understanding is wrong.

After the inner tube is installed in the tubeless tire, friction occurs between the inner and outer tires, and the heat generated is not easy to dissipate. The temperature of the tire rises, the air pressure rises, the wear resistance of the tire deteriorates, the service life is shortened, and it may also lead to a puncture. vicious accident. After the inner tube is installed in the tubeless tire, it may also cause the front wheel to lose its balance, and the steering wheel shakes when the vehicle is driving at high speed, which reduces the driving safety.

(8) Reasonable Parking

When the vehicle is not in use for a long time, it is necessary to ensure that the tire pressure is sufficient, and support it with a support, so that the tire is slightly off the ground to relieve the load of the tire and prevent deformation and loss of good elasticity. Direct sunlight should be avoided, and the tires should be prevented from freezing to the ground in severe cold weather. When the vehicle is parked, keep away from oil stains and avoid contact between tires and oil, so as to avoid rubber aging and damage.
